Cubist Last Supper
This cubist representation of the last supper is a symbol of personal empowerment as the viewer is invited to place themselves in the centre of the painting. Rather than worshipping a central figure the viewer is encouraged to step up and allow themselves to be the creator of their own life and destiny: you become the artist and the world becomes your canvas.
The painting took many weeks to complete as each thin layer of oil paint had to dry to achieve the rich, almost luminous effect.
Oil on canvas.
