The Archangel Zadkiel
This large scale oil painting took many months to complete, as each thin transparent layer of oil paint need to dry between applications. This gives the rich colour and luminosity. The inspiration for this large scale Archangel Zadkiel, came to me whilst working in my studio in Exeter. I simply began with charcoal, from my imagination, and the Archangel appeared.
